Supplies

  1. white cotton tshirt
  2. permanent fabric marker
  3. 6B pencil
  4. A2 paper or A3 paper
  5. hairdryer (optional)
  6. Clothes Pegs/Pins

Step 1: Drawing Harley's Image on Paper

The first step will be to create a drawing of Harley Quinn on a piece of A2 or A3 piece of paper. you'll have to draw the image in the exact size that you'll want it to assume on the T Shirt. You can use rulers , compasses, protractors and other precision instruments to make sure that the paper drawing mirrors the desirable shape of the final version that you would like to have on your TShirt.

Step 2: Transfer Drawing to the TShirt

The next step is to transfer the image from paper to the Tshirt. You can use rulers , campasses protractors and other precision instruments. firstly, you can draw the image using a pencil and then use an eraser to erase any flaws in the drawing. when you are satisfied with the look of the drawing you can now use the pencil marks as a template for when you draw using the permanent fabric marker.

Step 3: Using the Permanent Fabric Marker

The fabric marker i used was an alcohol based quick drying black marker. But any permanent marker can do the job quite well. The key here is "attention to detail" - the more intricate your drawing the better it will look when its on the TShirt. Its important not to make any errors at this stage because the fabric markers markings are permanent and any mistakes made will be indelible.

Step 4: Adding Final Touches

By now its all a matter of drawing by way of fabric markers and joining the pieces together and fixing any impefections and highlighting some areas where necessary. You can optionally use a hairdryer to dry the ink of the fabric marker. As the drawing gets closer to completion you will need to be fixing areas that need fixing and adjusting your design accordingly. Keep on going. Piece by piece. Edge by edge. Don't worry if you lose track of what you're doing - in the end it will magically fit together. After loads more marker work, pencil work and improvising - all will be done. All thats left is to find a great outfit to show off your new 100% Hand drawn Harley Quin TShirt. congratulations - You've made it!
