5 Minute Large Christmas Ornament

Create large Christmas ornaments in less than 5 minutes! All you need are some paper lanterns ( your choice of size), alcohol inks, and some ribbon.

What's fun with this project is that you can really make this ornament for any occasion - baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays. Just coordinate your party colors and decorate your paper lantern accordingly.

Step 1: Supplies Needed

* Paper lantern - your choice of size. They come in a variety of sizes.

* Alcohol Inks - again your choice of color. I used Tim Holtz Meadow and Watermelon

Step 2: Apply Alcohol Ink

Before stretching out the paper lantern apply alcohol ink to the paper lantern. You can do a random design on each side using your choice of alcohol ink colors.

Step 3: Stretch the Lantern

Stretch out the paper lantern and you've got a beautiful large ornament in the making. As you will find, the center area will not have much alcohol ink. You can apply additional ink at this time, or you can add an embellishment.

Step 4: Embellishments

Add a ribbon around the center of the ornament using glue.

Make a variety of sizes and hang them up for decorations. You can also insert a light and turn it into a fun lit ornament.
