Introduction: BUSINESS CARD STAND FROM RECYCLED MATERIAL

About: I have a hairless cat.

Need something to display your business cards on your desk. How about this eco-friendly Business Card Stand. I am making this from things found around my house. You can use different material than I use as long as you keep within the general design.

I will be making two different card holder using different material but the same design.

I like holder 2 (see step 6) better because it has an almost invisible look. Like your cards are floating.

Step 1: Get the Stuff

I am using things that I found around my house.

The fist card holder I am making I will be using a Granola Bar box that was in my recycle box.

The second card holder I am using a small pop bottle that was on my desk.

I picked up some tools that I think I will need.
- Scissors
- Box Cutter
- Tape

Step 2: Holder 1: Outline

With a marker outline a shape like this on the box.

Step 3: Holder 1: Cut

Cut out your outline. Be sure to recycle any unused material.

Step 4: Holder 1: Extend

Open the bottom of the holder and extend it to have a sort of triangle.

Step 5: Holder 1: Add the Cards

Place your cards in the holder and display on your desk.

Step 6: Holder 2: Clean

Because I just used this bottle I am going to clean it out and let it dry.

Step 7: Holder 2: Cut

Cut the top and bottom off of the bottle leaving the middle for your holder.

Tip: You can keep the top of the bottle and use it as a funnel. Keep the bottom and put your loose change in it.

Step 8: Holder 2: Fold

Fold the middle section of the bottle and try to make it as flat as possible.

You can run something hard (like the edge of the scissors) along the fold to make it stronger.

You can bend the sides backwards to straiten the section and prevent it from rolling in.

Note: Got to far ahead before I took a picture.

Step 9: Holder 2: Cut (again)

Cut out a design similar to this.

Step 10: Holder 2: Unfold and Finish

Unfold the holder and add your cards.
