Gripping and lifting bags with hand impairments is very difficult. Wrapping a small stone or golf ball in the rim of the bag and then tying it off with a string or rubber band creates a secure handle to lift the bag without squeezing the flexible material with the fingers.

Supplies

Any bag, rock or golf ball, and a rubber band.

Step 1:

Take the edge of the bag, where you would normally grab to pick it up, and wrap the outside of the bag around the rock or golf ball.

Step 2:

Wrap a rubber band around the bottom of the newly made handle to keep the rock or ball inside.

Step 3:

Now one can more easily pick up the bag by just using the handle.
