Introduction: Baked Honey Apple Chia Pudding

Step 1: Ingredients

Pudding

2 tbsp chia seeds (black ones have more nutritional value)

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (if vegan) or ( simply whole milk)

1/4 tsp cinnamon

for Baked Apple

1 organic apple, finely chopped

1 1/2 tsp water

1/2 tsp raw honey (substitute agave nectar or maple syrup for vegan version)

1/4 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp organic golden raisins

Step 2: Process to Do at Night

1. In a bowl combine chia seeds, almond milk( or normal milk), and cinnamon.

place in fridge for overnight until chia seeds have absorbed the milk.

Step 3: Process to Do in the Morning

  • Mix chopped apples, water, honey(substitute with agave nectar or maple syrup if vegan), and cinnamon in a bowl
  • Microwave for 1-minute increments, stirring in between, until apples are soft (mine took 1.1/2 minutes) don't over cook,

*note* DON'T DISCARD THE LIQUID OF YOUR BAKED APPLES.

  • Add in golden raisins, stir, and let sit
  • Mix 1/2 the apple mixture to the chia seed pudding and place back into the fridge
  • When ready to eat, top with the remaining warm apple mixture
