Introduction: Broken Zipper Tabs

Broken Zipper Tabs

Step 1: Broken Zipper Tabs for Luggage

Luggage is most susceptible to damage from airport (mis)handling. Zipper tabs are no exception.
Here is a simple 5 cent trick to replace those lost tabs.
Electrical crimp connectors make up these little tabs for less than 5 cents. They may be in your surplus tool box or buy them at the dollar store.

Step 2:

Provided the eyelet is still intact, pry it a bit carefully as to not break it, until the quick crimp connector slides in.
Squeeze gently with pliers to shut the eyelet close and voila! a new zipper tab.
