About: Happy Sagi~

Ran out of breadcrumbs and don't know what to do for dinner?

Rushing to the supermarket for a last minute ingredient?

It's okay! We can use a genius substitute for breadcrumbs instead. Actually, I love to substitute cereals for regular breadcrumbs whenever possible. I will show you how to make crispy thin pork chops with butter Nestum cereals in this tutorial.

This is an all-time favourite dish in my family. The pork chops might look simple; it is because they really are. They are tender and juicy on the inside and crispy golden brown on the outside. Coated with only 3 simple ingredients: Nestum cereal, corn flour and butter instead of breadcrumbs to get a crispy surface. The cereal coating is really very delicious due to its crispiness and slightly sweet taste.

Step 7: Prepare Some Thin Boneless Pork Chop.

  • Cut pork chops into thin slices.
  • Thinner slices cook faster so it is done the same time the cereals coating reaches a golden brown color.

Step 8: Season Pork All Over in a Large Shallow Bowl.

  • Marinate for at least 1 hour with cooking wine and light soy sauce (optional).
  • Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.

Step 9: Place the Beaten Egg in Another Bowl.

Break the eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk with a dash of salt.

Step 10: Dredge in the Nestum Butter Cereals Mixture, and Then Set Aside.

  • Dip a pork chop into the egg mixture and then coat evenly with the cereals mixture.
  • Press the mixture liberally onto all sides of the meat to ensure a good layer of cereals on both sides.

Step 11: Heat Oil in a Skillet and Deep Fry Till Golden Brown.

  • Fry in the hot oil for about 3 - 5 minutes on each side or until color turns golden brown.
  • Working in batches as to not overcrowd the pan.

Step 12: Drain on Paper Towels.

Drain off the oil and set aside.

Step 13: Served.

Arrange the cooked pork on a serving plate.

Step 14: Butter Nestum Cereals and Fried Thin Pork Chops

Instead of a traditional breadcrumb, cereal is a classic choice for its texture and slightly sweet taste breading material. It can add an extra layer of texture to any dish. Let's learn how to make butter Nestum cereals from scratch. We can use them as a crunchy topping or coating.

Today, I am going to use these beautiful golden cereals to make a delicious dinner meal. The thin pork chop topped with a crust of butter Nestum cereals fried to perfection. Since we are using the cereals for this recipe, make sure that control the heat of the oil to medium before frying the pork chops. They always come out tender and juicy because the cereals crust holds in all the juices. Simply delicious!
