This is a Canadian vendor list for Zach's "Build a laser cutter fume extractor"

Parts:

  • Option A - Qty (1) - Fantech Inline Exhaust Fan, 392 CFM, Centrifugal for 6" Duct (FG 6XL)
    • Email Fantech customer support as ask for a local distributor. They are VERY common in Canada and have distributors (HVAC & Plumbing suppliers) in every major city.

  • Option B - Qty (1) - NuTone Inline Exhaust Fan, 250 CFM, Centrifugal for 6" Duct ( ILF250)
    • Email and locate a distributor. This is another VERY common fan. Even electrical suppliers order them in.
    • $160 CDN
    • Cons: 250CFM is bearly enough airflow for a stock K40, any bigger cutting area or volume of smoke may not work well. I got this one free and ordered a FG 6XL.
  • Qty (1) - 29500 Honeywell Air Cleaner Replacement Filter
    • A1Filters.ca or their eBay page
    • Don't judge a book by their awful website, they custom make OEM filters. They can custom make a 2950 but the 24000 is always stock and the most common filter.
    • $80 CDN shipped anywhere in Canada.
  • Qty (1) - 3M Filtrete Air Conditioner Filter, 15-Inch by 24-Inc
  • Qty (1) - Duck Brand 1285234 24-Inch by 15-Inch by 1/4-Inch Foam Air Conditioner Filter
  • Qty (1) - 25kg bag of activated carbon, "coconut shell carbon" 4x8 or 4x10
    • ClearTech.ca Call for a local rep or they could ship. My 4x10 was the size of a 3.5cuft bale of peat moss. Heavy duty plastic bag.

    • eBay it. Anything will work.
    • $30 CDN for one from USA with actual CSA ratings.
  • Qty (1) - Roll of squishy neoprene shelving liner (It's about 1/8" thick, soft, makes great gaskets)
