Introduction: Cable Management Device

If you have overly long cables or you want to set cords aside, this is an easy, handy little trick that takes almost no time to do. It's easier to put on and take off than just a rubber band, and chances are you can make it for free!

Step 1: Materials

All you'll need is a rubber band and a small, straight object. Shown here is a K'nex rod and a piece of a barbecue skewer.

Step 2: Make a Lark's Head Knot

Attach the rubber band in the middle of the rod with a lark's head knot - wrap the band around the stick and pull one end through the loop the band makes. Pull the rubber band tight.

Step 3: Wrap Your Cords

This is pretty self-explanatory. Loop the band around and use the rod to keep it in place. To remove it, twist the rod so it's parallel to the rubber band and slide the band off.

Step 4: That's It.

It's not a breakthrough, but it is convenient and it works.
