Coconut White Russian - Inside a Coconut!

Hi there!

I want to share with you my recipe for a Coconut White Russian, served inside of a Coconut!

What you'll need is:

Some Coconuts
Wodka
Kahlúa
Milk (or Cream, as you prefer)
Hammer & Screwdriver
or a Drill instead
Straws
Funnel
(maybe some additional coconut milk)

Step 1: Empty Out the Coconuts

First thing you'll have to do is drill a hole in all of your coconuts. I had the luck to get some predrilled coconuts in our local supermarket, so this was easy for me. If you're not this lucky use the drill or take a screwdriver and a hammer to punch a hole into it.

Afterwards empty out the coconut milk in a bow or a cup.

Step 2: Mix Your Drink

Now you'll have to mix your drink. If you want a stronger coconut taste it would be useful to get some additional from the supermarket.

Normally I mix my White Russian like this (very easy to remember btw):

1/2 Milk
1/4 Wodka
1/4 Kahlúa

Now that we have the additional coconut milk I mixed it like this:

1/3 (= 4cl) Coconut Milk
1/6 (= 2cl) Milk
1/4 (= 3cl) Wodka
1/4 (= 3cl) Kahlúa

And now: Mix everything up!

(I know, a "real" White Russian is made with cream. You can do this if you want to. I didn't want to, because theres much more fat in cream than in milk. Your choice.)

Step 3: Fill It Back in Again

Now comes the most difficult part: Filling the drink back into the coconut.

I'd recommend to use a funnel. I had none so I used a plastic bag, pushed it into the coconut with one end and then pierced a hole into it with a toothpick. Then I poured in the White Russian and waited for it to flow inside. I helped a little bit with the toothpick, because when the fluid should go into the coconut, some air has to come out of it, because of physics, you know? That's what you see me doing in the last two pictures.
