Introduction: Crochet Heart #1 (small)

Hi guys! =)

In today's Instructable, I wanna share with you the pattern to make a basic Crochet heart.

This project is really easy and fast to make, and as a plus, it doesn't need a lot of yarn, so you can use some leftovers that you might have.

Keep having an amazing day and... let's begin! =D

P.S.

Don't forget to watch the video tutorial for tips and step by step instructions ^_^

Step 2: Materials

- Crochet Hook(D-3)

- Yarn(sport weight yarn)

- Scissors (small)

- Tapestry needle(pointless)

Step 3: Gauge (stitch Measurement)

The heart that you saw at the beginning of the tutorial, was 1.2 inches long and wide. In my case, I used a D3 hook and a sport weight yarn.

If you use this type of hook and yarn, in 2 inches you should have 9 stitches.

2" = 9 stitches

Step 4: Pattern/ Chart

In a magic ring, we’re going to work one chain stitch*.

FIRST HALF:

- One Double Crochet

- One Half Treble Crochet

- Two Double Crochet

- Three Half Double Crochet

- One Double Crochet and a chain stitch to finish the first half.

SECOND HALF:

- One Double Crochet

- Three Half Double Crochet

-Two Double Crochet

-One Half Treble Crochet

- One Double Crochet

- Two chain stitches and a slip stitch to finish.

* As you can see in the chart, we need two chain stitches at the beginning, but we only make one because when we finished the magic ring, we already have one chain on it (which is used to secure the ring).

Step 5: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

To begin with this heart, the first thing that we have to do, it's a Magic Ring, which is a basic crochet technique whose Instructable is HERE.

Step 6: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Once that we have finished the magic ring, we are going to make onechain stitch.

To make a chain stitch, yarn over and pull the hook through the loop that was already on it.

Step 7: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Now, work a Double Crochet.

To make it, yarn over, pass the hook through the ring, yarn over again, pull the hook and you will have three loops on it, yarn over and pull the hook through the first two loops, yarn over again and pull the hook through the last two loops.

Step 8: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Now, a Half Treble Crochet.

To make it, yarn over twice, pass the hook through the ring, yarn over, pull the hook and you will have four loops on it, yarn over and pull the hook through the first two loops, yarn over again and pull the hook through the three loops left.

Step 9: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Right after, two Double Crochet.

Step 10: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Three Half Double Crochet.

To make a half double crochet: yarn over, pass the hook through the ring, yarn over, pull the hook, yarn over, and pull the hook through the three loops on it.

Step 11: Step by Step: FIRST HALF

To finish the first half, work a Double Crochet and a chain stitch.

Step 12: Step by Step: SECOND HALF

To make the second half, work:

- One Double Crochet

- Three Half Double Crochet

- Two Double Crochet

- One Half Treble Crochet

- One Double Crochet

- Two Chain stitches, close a little bit the magic ring and finish the heart with a slip stitch.

To make a slip stitch: pass the hook through the magic ring, yarn over, pull the hook, and now pull the hook again but now through the first loop, counting from right to left.

Step 13: Step by Step: SECOND HALF

Close the magic ring and finish off.

Thank you for your visit! =D

P.S.

Keep having an amazing day, because you're an amazing person ^_^
