Hi everyone! Here I have a very cute mini Baby Yoda pattern which also includes instructions on how to make his space pod as well as his little blanket. This is an original written pattern based on Baby Yoda from the Star Wars series the Mandalorian.

Here are the abbreviations of the stitches I used

Sc: single crochet

Inc: increase

Dc: double crochet

Dec: decrease

Supplies

1.20mm crochet hook
Craft thread or embroidery floss (I used both)
3.00 crochet hook
Medium weight grey yarn
3mm glass black eyes
Grey fabric
Stuffing
Sewing needle

Step 1: The Head

Do this part in green colored embroidery floss/ craft thread (I used a minty color)

R1. Make a magic ring with 6 stitches (6)

R2. Inc around all the 6 stitches (12)

R3. Sc, inc around the 12 stitches (18)

R4. Sc, Sc, inc, around the 18 stitches (24)

R5-R8. Sc in the 24 stitches for a total of 4 rows (24)

R9. Sc, Sc, dec, around the 24 stitches (18)

Now place the eyes where you want and sew a nose as well as his little eye lids

Now stuff the head

R10. Sc, dec around the 18 stitches (12)

R11. Dec around the 12 stitches (6)

Once done close up the head and fasten off leaving a tail for sewing

Step 2: The Ears

Start by making a chain of 9

*Turn your work every time you reach the end of a row

R1. Sc in the 8 stitches (8)

R2. Start with a dec then Sc in the next 4 stitches and make a dec in the last 2 stitches (6)

R3. Sc in the 6 stitches (6)

R4. Dec, then Sc in the next 2 stitches, and then dec once more (4)

R5. Sc in the 4 stitches (4)

R6. Dec and do 2 Sc (3)

R7. Sc in the 3 stitches (3)

R8. Make one dec and then slip stitch in the last stitch and fasten off

Then sew the 2 corners of the ears to the center of the ear at the bottom

Make one more ear and then sew both of them to the head

Step 3: The Body

R1. Make a magic ring with 6 stitches (6)

R2. Inc in all the 6 stitches (12)

R3. Inc, Sc in the 12 stitches (18)

R4-R7. Sc in the 18 stitches for a total of 4 rows (18)

R8. (Do 3 Sc, then a dec) x3, then do a Sc and one more dec (14)

R9. Sc around the 14 stitches (14)

Then fasten off leaving a tail for sewing and stuff the body

Step 4: The Legs

R1. Make a magic ring with 8 stitches (8)

R2. Sc in the back loop only around the 8 stitches (8)

R3-R4. Sc in the 8 stitches for a total of 2 rows (8)

Then fasten off leaving a tail for sewing and make one more

Sew the legs to the body

Step 5: The Arms

R1. Make a magic ring with 6 stitches (6)

R2. Sc in the back loop only around the 6 stitches (6)

R3-R4. Sc in the 6 stitches for a total of 2 rows (6)

Fasten off and stuff then sew to the body and make one more

Once the legs and arms are attached to the body sew the body to the head

Step 6: The Robe

For this part I used brown and tan colors but you could use just one color or choose other colors to use

Using the tan color start with a chain of 27 (You can make the chain longer or shorter depending on how long you want the robe)

R1-R3. Dc In all of the 26 Stitches for 3 rows (26)

Then change your color to brown the next row

R4. Start with 7 dc, then chain up 3 skipping 3 stitches, then do 6 more dc, chain up 3 and skip 3 stitches again, and do 7 dc stitches to finish (26)

R5. Dc in the back loop only (26)

R6. Dc in the 26 stitches (26)

Now just sc around the whole thing to make it look a little nicer and sew in all loose ends

To finish just put the robe on your Baby Yoda and cut some string to help keep the robe on
