Step 1: Materials

materials:
scissors
cardboard
foil
tape (scottch and duct)
paper
pen

Step 2: Tape Time!

time to draw out your pattern and tape it to the card board simple as that

Step 3: Time to Cut

well I already had a zippo so I just traced it on the paper but if you don't have one it is app. 1 ' wide, a little less cut some strips to the size for later.
now it is time for the body cut out two caps and two main bodies

Step 4: More Tape!

ok so cut out the strips of card board to the same length as the sides of the lighter caseing nowit is time to mave on and tape it together then line it with foil do this to cap and the body

Step 5: So Its Lined in Foil Aye?

after the last step you must be tired right well i was cause it was 12:00 am ahhhh ok well now you take a strip of duct tape and make a "hinge" with it
this a pic of the open lighter if u imagine it closedthen wrap in one layer of tape both cap and body but do this seperatly as not to be a permanantly closed lighter repate it until you see fit, mine was three layers.

Step 6: No Zippo Parts?

well this thing could be used for other stuff to like make a normal lighter into a "zippo" by placeing it in the case and securing it
or a match holder
or a noise maker "open and close fast"
or put https://www.instructables.com/id/A-low-tech-lighter in side and cut a hole at the bottom and there u have it a hobo zippo
