Introduction: DIY Sneaker Upgrade!

About: I love looking at posts and then improvising it to fit my liking . Also, I love painting canvases and looking for inspiration .

This shoe is super easy to upgrade and you don't need any fancy materials to accomplish it !

Step 1: Gather Your Materials . You Will Need :

  1. Shoes(of course!)
  2. Acrylic/fabric paints.
  3. Good quality paintbrushes.
  4. Flexible Ruler.
  5. Pencils.
  6. Pens.
  7. Plastic bags-to protect your work space .
  8. Unwanted paper.

Step 2: Remove the Laces .

Step 3: Plan Your Shoe Design.

This is a very important step . While doing this , it is important that you stick to this design as it will be hard to correct it later.

Step 4: Stuff Your Shoe With Waste Paper.

This will make painting the shoe easier .

Step 5: Painting!

I started painting all the areas white , leaving out the areas where I wanted it to be plain .This aids in sketching the design on the shoe. If you wish to skip this step , you could use a pen to draw the design too; Especially for the leather-ish texture my shoe has . I also started painting all the plain areas black . I also suggest using a pencil for painting around the eyelet. I chose a triangle pattern with three colors . Black, blue, pink !

Step 6: Upgrade!

I painted all the eyelets and studs gold, for a more cooler look .

Step 7: More Upgrades!

I painted the top and zippers pearly, minty green.

Step 8: Repeat !

Now, you will create the same design as you did on the other shoe .A good tip is to measure the length of the design and divide the number of rows for accuracy . Make the same color pattern as you did on the first shoe .

Step 9: Personalize.

I wrote my initials at the back to personalize it and painted the laces blue .

Step 10: Finished!!!

Can't wait to see how yours turns out ! you don't have to follow the same design I did . Be creative! :D

If you have any questions, I will answer them !
