Introduction: DIY Thing 1 and Thing 2 Kids T-shirt

My daughters had Dr. Seuss week at school and I had a hard time looking for Thing 1 and Thing 2 t-shirts at the stores. So I decided to make it myself! All materials were bought at Michael's. But you can also check your local crafts store.

Items that you need:

2 red youth t-shirts (I bought them at Michael's)

Black marker

Brush-on Fabric Paint (White and Black purchased at Michael's)

Paint brushes

A circular bowl

Step 1:

Take your circular bowl and place it on the t-shirt to where you want the circle to be.

Trace around the rim with your marker

Step 2:

When you are done tracing the circle.

Make sure you put a cardboard or a place mat on the inside of the t-shirt to prevent the paint from transferring to the back of the t-shirt.

Take your white Brush-on Fabric paint and paint inside the circle. (I did two coats)

Let the paint dry for a couple of hours.

Step 3:

After the paint is dry, take your black Brush-on Fabric paint and create a border around the circle.

Step 4:

With the black paint draw "Thing" on top of the inside of the circle.

Then draw "1" on the center.

Let the paint dry over night.

Step 5:

While the first t-shirt is drying. Start the second shirt.

Follow steps 1 - 4 but inside of drawing "1" on the center draw "2".

Let shirt dry over night as well.
