Introduction: DIY Vertical Plant Stand Using Scrap Wood and Door Handles.

About: I love craft, specially recycling and creating low cost objects of daily use.

Make a vertical plant stand with a scrap piece of wood board and few unused cabinet door handles.

Supplies

Supplies

-wood board (I used around 4 by 1.5 feet but size can vary as required)

-Door pulls/handles(6 pieces or as required)

-Paint( I used white wall paint for base and acrylics for the art)

-Drill machine

-Masking tape

-Measuring tape

Step 1: Measure the Wood Board and Mark at Six Equal Intervals.

Measure the length of board. Mark with chalk or pencil as shown in picture such as dividing the board in six equal sections. In each section we will do our artwork and add a plant. It is not necessary to create exactly six sections. You may create as many as you like depending on the size of your board and number of plants you want to hang.

Step 2: Mark the Position of Handles on the Board and Drill Holes.

We will install one door handle in each section on the board. To mark the position of holes first stick a tape on the handle connecting both the holes. Then pierce the tape over the holes. Now remove the tape and stick it on the board where you want to place the handle( hang your plant). Drill holes on the wood board over the holes in tape. Similarly drill holes for one handle in each section.

Step 3: Install Handles and Paint

Install the handles on the board using bolts. Then paint the board white. I did two coats of wall paint for the base. Then paint the desired artwork.

Step 4: Hang Your Plants.

Hang your plants on the handles.

That's it. Hope you like it :).
