Everybody LOVES knock down games at the carnival or arcade! We brought that joy into the home with an AWESOME DIY zombie slingshot game that is simple to make!! Fun for the whole family!

MATERIALS:

1 inch thick sheet of wood, 2 feet by 5 feet (base of the table)
1/2 inch thick sheet of wood, 2 feet by 15 inches (shelves)
3.5 inch by 1.5 inch plank of wood, 8.5 feet long (shelf support and targets)
9 hinges
green spray paint, brown paint
chicken wire
slingshot
projectiles (we used hackeysacks)

Step 1: Cut Your Wood

Cut your 3.5 in by 1.5 in plank into two 3 in long pieces, two 9 in long pieces, and two 15 in long pieces. These are for the supports for the tiered shelves.

Cut out five 5 in long pieces from the 3.5 in by 1.5 in plank. These are the targets that will be connected by hinges to the shelves.

Take your 1/2 in thick plank of wood and cut it into three equal planks, five inches wide. These are the shelves to hold the targets.

Step 2: Attach the Shelf Supports

Attach the shelf supports onto the large 1 in thick plank. Use the included .ipt to arrange them, or follow this guide:

Measure out 18 in from one short side of the plank, place the three shelves that were cut out in the last shelf inside the 18 in measured part, 1.5 in apart. Trace the shelves. Take the shelves off. Align the shelf supports to the 1 in thick board so that they are 1 in from the sides, and centered within the planks.

We used wood glue to attach the planks first, then drilled in screws from underneath so that it would withstand lots of force from the targets being knocked down.

Step 3: Paint

Paint the 1 in thick board with the shelf supports brown. Spray paint the targets green.

Step 4: Attach Targets to Shelves

Lay out the hinges, 3 on each shelf, spaced apart however you wish. Make sure you place them at the front of each shelf so that they have room to fall down. Drill the hinges into the targets and then into the shelves. We used a hand grinder to remove the screws pointing out of the bottom.

Step 5: Attach the Shelves to the Shelf Supports

Drill the shelves on either side into the shelf supports. Use long screws so that they are sturdily in place. We attached chicken wire around the back as a net to catch the hackeysacks if they missed the targets. We drilled screws into the sides of the shelf supports to hold the chicken wire on either side.
