This is a simple DIY pedal board made out of an old computer desk board. If you have a little mini music studio in your home and have a desk and would like to match your pedal board or what have you to the look and feel of your desk, then this will be a helpful instructible for you.

For this example, I use my TC ELECTRONIC Voicetone pedals as a starting ground. You can also substitute it with your other pedals. I am not a huge fan of velcro and I want my pedals to stay in place without having to stick anything on them, so this is what I came up with.

Actually this was an excuse to use and test my new power tool. I was kinda torn between the Dremmel and the Rockwell, but ended up getting this. No regrets, works great! Very handy and highly recommended!!!

And now fro the test!

Step 1: Materials

The materials needed are fairly simple:

Old wooden desk or new wood which ever you prefer.
Drill
oscillating power tool i.e., rockwell sonic crafter, dremel, or the like or saw
screws

Step 2: Measurements

The length of the board for this project would depend on how many pedals you want to include. And for this project, you will need to have 2 identical boards or 2 boards with the same measurement which ever you prefer.

The one board serves as our base, bottom, and the other will be the custom fit for the pedal. This will hold the pedal nice and fit.

Step 3: Cut

Place pedal on the board that would cut. Trace pedal around with a pencil or marker. This will serve as our guide for cutting and making it fit.

Cut the lines using a saw or your power tools following your markers. Do not rush. You want it to be nice and pretty especially if you are not going to paint over the wood.

Step 4: Sand and Screw!

Sand the rough edges of the wood!!!

Place the cut board on top of the other board and screw the finished board to the bottom base board. You should screw at the bottom of the base board.

YOU ARE DONE!!!

The rest are just minor addition, like if you want to add foot at the bottom of the board so it wont slide. I got mine from an old amp. You can also buy some parts at Home depot or Lowes.
