DiY SELFIE STICK : 7 Steps

Hello everyone,

This is my second instructable which i'm posting here. Since many dayz I was curious about selfie sticks which are getting popular now-a-dayz. So I wished if i could make it myself at my home with some waste materials lying here and there. Selfie sticks are now very much popular, all u need to do is go through my steps n follow them and make a simple but best selfie stick for your own photography.

Step 1: MATERIALS REQUIRED

The materials required are as follows:

WOODEN BOARD
SOME RUBBER BANDS
SAW
PAPER CLIPS (I USED 2)
NAILS
WASTE PEN BODY
SAND PAPER
EARPHONES HAVING A VOLUME +/- BUTTON

Step 2: PREPARING STICK

Cut out a long stick out of a wooden sheet and scratch out the edges with the help of sand paper. Or either way u can select any metal pipe or any other wooden rod/stick which should b enough strong to hold the weight of your phone.

Step 3: Getting Your Frame Ready to Hold Phone

I just took bodies of 2 pen and glued them over small wooden stick which is going to act as a base for the frame.

just nail 2 screws from the bottom of that small wooden stick so that 2 pens could withstand together and meanwhile I knot 2 rubberbands in each nail which will provide sufficient force to hold the phone.

Now take 2 paper clips, make one of the clip straight using some pliers and second one is used to make a " V " shape with a small 90(degree) bent to hold phone.

Pass the rubber bands all through the pen body and tie it up with the paper clip at the end.

Your frame is ready now check its durability and elastility.

For your help firstly use rubber bands to make joints stronger.

Step 4: THE HEADACHE OF PASSING RUBBER BANDS THROUGH PENS

It was really a troublesome to pass rubber bands all through the body of the pens.

I rather choosen another paper clip to pull out the bands through pen n put a matchstick to hold them temporarily.

And do ensure the proper v shape and a 90(degree bend)

Step 5: HOLD PHONE OVER THE STICK

I used a rubber seal n screwed it up on the wooden rod thus this being a rubber it strongly hold the phone with proper grip.

Step 6: FINISHING IT UP!!!

Now all done just put up your phone and attach earphones having a volume +/- button n just position your phone click the volume button n threre you go..
