Introduction: Dog Birthday "Cake"

About: I am a therapist and in my spare time, I like to bake and craft to de-stress. Check out the link to my cake website to see more of my work. I also have a blog: half-bakedart.tumblr.com

Supplies

- Small spring form pan (I used a 6 inch one)

- 2 cups dry dog kibble or treats

- 1/2 cup+ peanut butter

- 1/4 cup coconut oil (optional)

- Dog's favorite foods

- Cream cheese

Step 1: Prepare Crust

Prepare a crust (similar to a graham cracker crust of a cheese cake) by crushing dry dog kibble/treats and blending with peanut butter and coconut oil. Then press the sticky mixture into the bottom and sides of a spring form pan.

Step 2: Layer

Fill the crust with some of your dog's favorite treats. I used mostly peanut butter and chicken in this one.

Step 3: Decorate

"Frost" the cake with cream cheese and let set in the fridge for 30 minutes. Use a knife to help release the cake from the springform pan. I also added a few sprinkles to the top and decorated with a dog treat and birthday sign. I put colored cream cheese in a piping bag to create the border.
