Introduction: Easy Family / Group Advent Calendar

About: I enjoy making things. My making them is usually based on necessity, the fact that it doesn't exist, and/or buying it pre-done would be way more expensive. I like all kinds of projects and find this site a ver…

Once again, I'm doing this! However, now it's for five individuals and I was not going to make five advent calendars. I came up with this solution and I loved how it turned out! It can be filled with larger objects and can be customized to your liking. Most of the goodies and materials are from the dollar store, so over all, very cost effective. This is a fun and easy project to make, that will keep you in the holiday spirit! Enjoy.

Step 1: Materials

24 pocket organizer (I got mine for a dollar at Five Below)

Sheet of numbers 1-24 (Printed online)

Envelopes (Dollar store)

Printable Labels (Dollar store)

Stickers (Dollar store)

Goodies (chocolates, candy, beauty products, manicure kit, cocoa, erasers, mugs, books)

Gift wrap (Dollar store)

Tape

Stapler

Garland (optional)

Step 2: Making Numbers

Google for "Advent Calendar Numbers", You will find many free printable sheets in many styles. Print out the style of your choice and cut to size with scissors or a paper trimmer.

Step 3: Number the Organizer

Using the stapler, staple a number to each pocket, until all are assigned. You can choose to randomize it or keep it in sequential order.

Step 4: Preparing the Envelopes

Using the labels, print 24 name labels of each recipient.

Using the stickers and name labels to embellish the envelopes, set aside.

You can also opt to decorate the envelopes by hand with art and write the names on it.

Step 5: Preparing the Gifts

Smaller items

Place the goody inside the envelope and seal.

Larger Items

Wrap the item and affix name label.

Note

If the item is too large to place in organizer pocket, place a clue in an envelope and give the gift on the assigned day. You can use clip art or a hand written riddle.

Step 6: Fill the Pockets With Goodies!

Since there are multiple recipients, I am mixing up the items, so hopefully each recipient will get a different type gift each day. Making sure there is one envelope/ item per day for each person.

Step 7: Hang and Enjoy!

Optional- You can make it more festive by adding garland and lights!
