Introduction: Extreme Buzz Wire Game With STUN GUN!

About: We are Mike and Lauren. We make videos on YouTube about money, travel, homesteading, and DIY.

My friend gave me a broken flashlight/stun gun. I decided to to the stun gun parts into an extreme DIY buzz wire game!

Step 1: Testing the Transformer

Inside the flashlight we found and tested the transformer. We applied low voltage to the input and the high voltage output still worked!

Step 2: Bending the Rod

I used a vise and hammer to bend 1/4" and 3/8" steel rod into their final shape. The eye hook is attached to the positive lead of the transformer. The wire coming out of the bottom going back to the board is the ground. When the eye hook makes contact with the rod, it is energized at either 1.3, 2.6, or 5 volts depending on the level.

Step 3: The Biggest Obstacle...

The most difficult part of this build was figuring out a way to isolate the 3 levels so they would shock you with a different voltage. The two outside rods were easy enough, but the middle one required a special ramp that the eye hook could slide up and underneath the wire. I used a nail through the rod and on the base to make contact when the eye hook was not passing through.

Step 4: Momentary Switch

I installed a simple momentary switch so the victim could control the shock.

Step 5: Final Assembly

I needed to solder the low voltage wires to the ends of the metal rods. The connections were fragile but still worked.

Step 6: Reactions...

Step 7: Finished Product

With a little spray paint the finished product turned out pretty good!

Step 8: Source of the Stun Gun

This is the model flashlight/stun gun I used for this project.
