Introduction: Fluffy Christmas Tree Out of Paper

About: Hi! My name is Irina. I speak English, Russian & German. I have been making DIY videos for my Youtube channel for 4 years (channel name is You Can Do It Craft). There is not such a craft that I can't tackl…

Today I'm glad to share with you my paper Christmas tree project. Truth to tell, It's not a quick DIY (took me about 2 hours) but the process is easy and you'll get a nice, fluffy Christmas tree in result. Any type of paper can be used, therefore, unlimited number of creative versions can be done!

Materials needed:

  • Crepe paper or any paper
  • White paper napkins or any white paper (white crepe will look nice)
  • A ruler
  • Scissors
  • Thread
  • Glue (I used super glue because it works fast but simply a glue stick will be ok)
  • A wine cork
  • A straight stick (I used a sushi stick)

This project is really more comfortable to watch than to view pics and read explanations. My video tutorial is below.

Step 1: Paper Christmas Tree Step-by-step Video

I did two trees that you can see on the video preview picture. One Christmas tree is out of blue crepe paper and white paper napkins, and the other is out of bright magazine pages and paper napkins again. I didn't buy any materials specially for this project, all materials I had at hand.

Experiment with sizes and the number of layers to get your own Christmas tree variant.

Instead of a cork you may use any small can filled with clay, for example. For a big tree you may use a thick wire instead of a sushi stick.

My best wishes to everyone for the upcoming year!
