Introduction: Frozen Banana-on-a-Stick

If you've been looking for a cold and refreshing summer treat for your children (or yourself!), look no further! These delicious frozen bananas are a healthy and easy-to-make treat. Just follow the easy to follow steps and you'll be enjoying one of these tasty bananas in no time at all!

Step 1: SUPPLIES NEEDED

1 8 ounce container plain 4% Greek yogurt

1 10 ounce cup chocolate flavored crisp rice cereal

4 bananas

1 shallow baking dish (not shown)

1 pastry brush (not shown)

Step 2: PLACE CEREAL IN a SHALLOW DISH

This will allow you to coat the banana evenly with the cereal.

Step 3: PEEL BANANAS

Only two shown here. Ingredients listed will make 8 frozen banana "pops" once each banana is cut in half.

Step 4: CUT EACH BANANA IN HALF

To be ready for next step.....

Step 5: PUSH a STICK INTO ......

the narrow end of each banana half.

Step 6: COAT EACH WITH YOGURT

Using a pastry brush, coat each banana half with yogurt.

Step 7: COAT WITH CEREAL

Carefully roll each yogurt coated banana half in the cereal, pressing the cereal lightly into the yogurt coating so cereal adheres.

Step 8: FREEZE CEREAL COATED BANANAS

Place cereal coated bananas on a flat plate and freeze for at least 3-4 hours. Now, your Frozen Bananas-on-a-Stick are ready to eat!! ENJOY!!!!

Step 9: VERY VERSATILE RECIPE

NOTE: This recipe is very versatile. Use whatever flavor yogurt is your favorite as well as your favorite cereal. Try using raspberry yogurt and fruit flavored crispy rice cereal. Or strawberry yogurt and crushed Captain Crunch cereal. The sky's the limit and all combinations are delicious!
