Garden Plaque

I've been feeling uber DIY-ey recently, so after spending about an hour pintresting I chose a project to use some paint I'd just gotten for free.

I took about a foot long section of two by four I had sitting around, covered it with two light coats of exterior white, and then traced a quote on to it using a lettering technique I found here : http://thatsmyletter.blogspot.com/2011/08/p-is-for-personalize.html

I painted between the indentations and voila. My parents couldn't believe it. :) Now it's propped up by a stone in the garden looking quite adorable, I must say.
