Introduction: Giant Monster Pillow

About: Hey there! I like to sew and craft and adventure and so many other things I could bore you to tears. But I won't. Sooo well, have a good day :)

A huge monster for your room, as easy to make as it is to love!

To make it, you will need about a yard of fleece, a sheet of beige felt, and a couple bags of stuffing. You will also need a printer, unless you have some serious drawing upscale skills.

First, draw your design small, or find one on the internet. Put it in paint, sizing it to about 350-400 pixels. Then erase all the insides so your not wasting ink when you print it. (Pictures 5 and 6)

Go to www.blockposters.comand click step one, near the bottom of the page. Upload your design and click continue. (Picture 7)  Next, decide how big you want your pillow. I made mine as in picture 8, about 3 ft by 3 ft. It will shrink up a lot, with seam allowance and the borders on the pages. Mine took off about 8 inches when I was done. Then just download the PDF file it makes for you, and print it up.

Arrange all your papers on a table or on the floor. Just cut around the edges on the outside, and tape it all together. This will be you pattern.

Place the pattern on your fleece. I drew around it with chalk, right next to the pattern, and the width of the chalk added enough seam allowance. Once you get it traced to your fabric, cut it out.

Cut and sew on pieces of felt for eyes/teeth/etc.

Put your pillow together with the right sides in, and sew all the way around, leaving a 4 inch space to stuff. (Make it bigger if you have huge hands(; )

Stuff till he's nice and plump, and then hand sew up your gap.

Hug and enjoy him!
Or you can give him away and make someone else smile :)
