Title: Grandfather Clock
Size: 8" x 36" on Live Edge Basswood

I picked up some Continuous Sweep Clock Movements from a local building supply store and wanted to do something different from the other clocks I have seen and done. Spotted in the corner of my shop was a couple slabs of live edge basswood that I usually burn bearded faces onto. The idea of a bearded old man being the face of the clock, and the "Grandfather" clock reference, was enough to convince me to do the project!

After woodburning with my Razertip pen system, I added some extra details with a small butane torch and installed the clock hardware.

Attached is a quick video of the pyrography process which took about 5 hours to complete, and some photos of the final product.
