(sorry for my bad english... i'm not a native speaker)

This is my first instructable... and I forgot to take pictures while I was doing it, but that's what Paint is for :-)

soooo... I'm going to try to show you how I made my Guitar Pick Holder for a friends birthday (last minute Present)

It will take... half an hour or a hour... It depends on your skill

and sorry, but i measure in meters and centimeters :-)

Step 1: What You'll Need

I've got this idea while I was roaming through the lokal hardware store and I thaught THIS yould work:

2 springs
leather
woodscrews with rings on it (sorry... i don't know what they are called)
profiled wood (half cylinder, or I used quarter cylinder, it was cheaper ^^ radius of the circle 2 cm)
Saw
Scissors
Glue (I used Pattex)

Step 2: Cut the Wood

If you are using quarter cylinders you cut 2x 7cm pieces of the wood profile and glue them together properly.

If you are using semi-cylinders, congratulations! you just cut once! :-P

If you are holding your 7 cm semi cylinder in hands, continue with step 3

Step 3: Prepare the Leather

so, you need three pieces of leather:
2 for the ends, and one for the biiig surface :-)

soooo for the 2 end pieces, you cut a circle with 1 cm more as the diameter as the semi cylinder
and you cut that IN HALF

for the big piece you cut a 7cm x 17 cm (the 17 cm is a little bit more to be sure)

Step 4: Glueing :-)

you glue the 2 small pieces on the sides
be sure that the straight lines are matching! the extra leather on the circular side is bent up and glued there

if you don't like the look of the straight line of the smaller pieces that presses through the big leather strip when you glue it on, just cut it (Razorblade) round for a smoother look.

for the big piece, you start glueing in the middle of the straight side and glue the way around

when you reach the beginning of the leather strip, just lay the end of it over the beginning and cut off whats too much

Step 5: Screw the Screws

where you screw the screws is a matter of your personal sight on art and what kind of spring you use^^

but i think when you approximately screw them where they are in the picture it looks fine

when you screwed them in... just click in the spring... and you are finished!
