Introduction: Halloween Candle Holder

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

This is a piece of spooky decor that is perfect for any Halloween party or if you want to add just a little bit of glitz and fall to your dining room decor!

Supplies

This may look like there is a lot going on, but what you will need to make you own Halloween candle votives holder are…

  • a wooden hanging decor
  • a box of wooden tumbling blocks
  • 3 foam circles
  • 3 small candle votives
  • a glue gun or E6000
  • scissors
  • an assortment of Halloween embellishments like roses and pumpkins
  • 3 small real candles or LED candles (not pictured)

Step 1: Prepare the Wooden Plank

First, you want to cut off the tag of your wooden hanging decor. From there, arrange and glue down 14 pieces of wooden blocks across the bottom of your wooden plank. I prefer to put 2 blocks together by their short ends.

Step 2: Prepare the Candle Votives

Next, you are going to take 3 foam circles and glue them across the top of the wooden plank. From there, grab 3 candle votives and glue them on the top of each foam circle.

Step 3: Add a Garland or Boa

If you have a garland or a piece of Halloween boa handy, you can glue that around the edges of each of the foam circles on the plank. If you need to trim off any extra edges of the boa or garland, you can do so as well.

Step 4: Embellishments

Now it’s time to embellish your candle holder. For my piece, I used some purple and black roses, some with eyeballs coming out and spider branches. And I also used a bag of pumpkin picks to add some contrast.

Step 5: Ready to Display

Now here is what it looks like from the front and both sides! I was very proud of they way it came out and I was also happy to put it out in the dining room! The only thing that was missing were 3 small candles to put them in but I still wanted to display the entire piece to show what it looks like overall!
