Introduction: Classic and Elegant Headphone Support
Hi guys. This week I decided to make a support to my handmade headphone. I don't had so much time, so I thought in one easy and fast to make.
Sorry for the bad english, it's not my native language.
Step 1: The Materials
This is the sketch of the support, you can print it to use in the next step.
In this project i used:
- Rubber glue
- Paperboard (7 cm x 75 cm) (7 cm x 35 cm)
- Wood veneer (30 cm x 40 cm)
- Synthetic leather (10 cm x 80 cm)
- EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) (7 cm x 75 cm)
I used two types of paperboard, the first it's a old notebook cover (to the model), and the second it's a box paper (the side and a internal part).
Step 2: The Model
After cut the two parts of the model, I made a mark in the wood veneer, passed the glue and joined the parts.
Obs.: This glue needs a time to dry before you join the parts.
After the two pieces joined, I cut and sanded the edge.
Step 3: The Side
I put the EVA between the leather and the paperboard(7 cm x 75 cm), spent the glue in the edges of the leather and the paper and after dry joined the parts.
Tip: start the process in the middle.
Step 4: The Middle
With the 7 cm x 35 cm paperboard, I made a kind of 'tear' to be the support of the two models part.
I used hot glue to keep the parts joined.
Step 5: Finish
To join the sides with the model, I used the rubber glue.
That's it! :D
I hope you'd like!
