Introduction: High Force Water Pump

About: Give Help to Students to make Science Projects for Schools and Collage.

Normally, I create little water pumps, but now is the moment to create powerful pumps.

We must link several water pumps in order to create a high force water pump.

Let's begin building a large water pump.

Supplies

You need following materials to make this water pump.

1) 3d Printer

2) RS - 775 DC Motor (10 pcs.)

3) 48 Volt Power Adapter

Step 1: 3d Printed Parts

The first step is to 3D print all the components. To build a water pump, you mostly need 4 components.

1) Pump Case

2) Impeller

3) Seal

4) Pump Head

Using these 3D-printed components, you can construct one water pump. If you want a lot of force, you must connect several water pumps in series or parallel. I utilize two sets of five water pumps and link them in parallel. I therefore require a total of 10 water pumps. I make all of these parts in ten numbers.

Step 2: Make a Water Pump

Pass the seal we create using a 3D printer through one RS 775 DC motor. Pump casing with outlet should then be attached to this seal. Then use a tool to secure two screws. There is an outlet in the pump case of our water pump. We receive 3.14 X 1 = 3.14 cm3 of water from one pump because the exit size is 2 cm.

Consequently, 3.14 X 10 = 31.4 cm3 of water from 10 pumps.

During the repair of all pieces, we must ensure that all joints are airtight. because a water pump needs to be airtight to draw water in.

Step 3: Inlet

Next, insert a 3D-printed impeller into the RS775 DC motor's shaft. The RS 775 DC motor uses a 3 mm shaft. Then attach the pump head to the pump case as depicted in the image. If this pump head needs to be fixed, use Quick Fix.

Then make 10 number of water pump like this.

Step 4: 3d Printed Pipe

It's time to figure out the pipe sizes for the ten water pumps.

There is 10 water pump. 3.14 cm3 of water are discharged by one water pump.

10 water pumps thus pump out 31.4 cm3 of water.

3.14 x 2 = 6.28 cm of outlet pipe is required.

We use two pipes for the inlet. (one water pump for every five)

Therefore, a 5 water pump requires a water outflow of 3.14 x 5 = 15.7 cm3.

The dimensions of the outlet pipe are 2.2 x 2 x 4.4 cm for the intake pipe.

Now, according to calculations, we require two 4.4 cm dia. input pipes and one 6.28 cm dia. output pipe.

Using a 3D printer, print the C Joint for the inlet and all three pipes as seen in the previous image.

Step 5: Joint All Water Pump

Now, fix five water pumps utilizing the inlet of the water pump by taking an inlet pipe. Then connect five water pumps in a series for the second inlet pipe. Now we have two series connection of water pump.

Step 6: Outlet

Take the 3D-printed outlet pipe and attach it to every water pump outlet at this point. Then take the inlet's C joint and link it to the two inlet pipes.

Step 7: Extend Pipe

Now water pump is ready but you need to add extra PVC pipe for extend pipe.

Step 8: Power Supply

Give this 775 dc motor a 48 volt power supply after that to enjoy forced water.
