Are you too cheap to buy real candles? If so, i can tell you how to make your own candles. I will give you a few simple steps that you can memorize in your head. You can make candles for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Anniversary, Birthday's, etc.

Step 1: Materials

Wax, Wicks, Crayons, Scents, and olive oil.
As well as a double boiler, a knife, molds, and a mixing spoon.

Step 2: Step 1

First, cover your space in newspaper, so it will be easier to clean up.

Step 3: Step 2

Next, you will place the block of wax over the double boiler, so the wax will soften and you can cut it easier. Then take the wax and cut a chunk off, use the double boiler to melt the wax. (Use about a half a pound) As the wax melts, prepare your molds.

Step 4: Step 3

Additives: To make your candle a certain color, For my half pound of wax, I put in half a _____ (Color) crayon, and a splash or two of_____ (Scent you’d like).

Step 5: Step 4

Then for the wicks. Cut off a piece of the wick (Cotton string) thats about an inch longer than your candle. Dip it in the wax with tongs and then put it in the fridge till you will need it again.

Step 6: Step 5

Carefully pour your wax into your mold. The put it into the fridge to quicken up the speed of it drying. Once it starts to firm up and when the top looks firm, stick a toothpick in the center and slide the wick into place. Leave the candle in the fridge until fully hardened.

Step 7: Step 6

While waiting, you should clean up your mess. Take the newspaper off the surface and throw it away. To clean your tools you will have to soak them in hot water for a while, then try to scrub it all off.

Step 8: Step 7

Lastly, when the mold has fully dried, you want to slip it out of the container its in (Unless you put it in the glass you wanna keep it in).
