Introduction: How to Make the Perfect Negroni With an ICE SPHERE
A perfect cocktail is much more than a perfect mixture of alcohols and mixers; the Negroni is no exception and when done right, it has a very distinctive character. This classic drink traces its history to Italy and has been extremely popular since 1930’s. Even though the exact origin is not known, they say that it was created by a bartender at the request of Count Camillo Negroni. He wanted the bartender to strengthen his Americano drink by replacing soda water with Gin. In an attempt to add a more unique touch to the drink, the bartender garnished it with orange instead of lemon.
The popularity of this drink stems from the fact that it is quite unique not just in taste but in appearance too. The moment you have a look at it, you would be tempted to have it. It is one of my favorite drinks and I have added my personal touch to make this drink more exciting- I used premium ice sphere mold and froze an orange wedge in the ice ball.
Step 1: Material Needed:
To make a perfect Negroni, you’ll need:
- 1 ounce of Campari
- 1 ounce of Gin
- 1 ounce of red vermouth
- Flavored ice ball
- Lots of ice
Step 2: Add Campari
Start by adding Campari in the mixing glass. Then add an equal serving of Gin and red vermouth.
Step 3: Put in the Flavored Ice Ball
Take another glass and put in the flavored ice ball. You can make the ice ball using a premium ice sphere mold from Infernal Innovations. One advantage of using an ice sphere is that the ice won’t melt fast.
Step 4: Stir for 10 Seconds
Add ice to the cocktail and stir for 10 seconds, so that the drink gets chilled.
Step 5: Strain the Drink
Strain the drink in the other glass slowly over the ice ball.
Step 6: Serve Chilled
