How to Build a Lego Mindstorms NXT OCTOPOD Robot?

This instructable is just to show you, how to upgrade my hexapod I've built in my previous instructable by turning it into a octopod (8-legged robot).

Step 1: What Do You Need?

- Lego Mindstorms NXT
- some extra Lego gears
- time
- computer

Step 2: Building

Than add an additional leg on each side. You don't have to change the gearing mechanism at all. The entire leg mechanism is even simpler because you don't have to worry about tripod gaits. (The new leg is the white leg).

Step 3: Everything Else

Again, you can decorate or do whatever else with your robot. And if you get bored, you can take it apart and make a new one!

I used NXT-G programming software, but you have many other choices as well...
