How to Fold a Cloth Napkin- Crown Fold

This is a step by step walkthrough on how to create a crown napkin fold with a cloth napkin. This technique is a sure way to impress your friends and family for any meal.

Step 1: Before You Fold

Obtain a square starched cloth napkin and place it in front of you with the seams facing up.

Step 2: Fold #1

Fold the lower left corner up to the upper right corner.

Step 3: Fold # 2

Fold the upper left and lower right corners up to the top right corner (open corner), forming a square 1/4 the size of the orginal napkin.

Step 4: Turn Napkin Over

Turn the napkin over onto the other side.

Step 5: Fold # 3

Fold the closed corner up to the open corner (again creating a triangle similar to that of step 2).

Step 6: Fold 4 and Tuck

Fold both outside corners towards the center. Tuck one corner inside the folds of the other, forming a circlular shape (see image 2 for reference).

Step 7: Finishing Touches

Fold down both side flaps. Fold down center flap to complete the crown.
