Introduction: How to Look Nice Using Inexpensive Makeup

About: I'm a professional writer and an amateur sewist, builder, hot gluer, dremel user, crocheter, painter, paper crafter, and baker.

Hi all! I have never invested in good makeup.. simply because it's way too darn inexpensive. I'm going to share how I do my makeup everyday using drug store makeup. Enjoy!

Step 1: Foundation

First, you'll need to apply foundation. I use Rimmel Clean Finish first with a sponge-like blender. Blot on, don't smear.
Now, use a big brush to apply powder foundation. I use NYC Matte Smooth foundation

Step 2: Cheekbones

I like to apply a little white eye shadow onto the apples of my cheekbones. It makes them stand out a little bit. I use the pearl color of Jordana's Dynamic Duo and apply it with my finger.

Step 3: Eyes

Don't put that eye shadow down because I use Jordana's Dynamic Duo again for my eyes. First, I grab an eye shadow brush and apply the pearl color and apply it all over my eyelid. Then, I grab my liquid eyeliner pencil (I use Revlon Colorstay) and apply eyeliner pretty thick. Next, I apply the gold eye shadow to my eyelid.

The reason why I put the white first, is so the gold color will pop more.

Now I curl my eyelashes with an E.L.F eyelash curler. I got mine from Target for $1. I also got all of my E.L.F brushes in a little packet from Target for $2-$3.

Apply mascara. I use Maybelline Colossal Volume

Step 4: Lips

Finally, I like to apply a little dark lip gloss. I don't know a lot about makeup, but I do know that not all lip shades look great on everyone. See what works best for you.

Now you're done! Now go out on the town and strut your stuff.
