How to Make a Mud Flap Girl - I Made It at TechShop Www.techshop.ws : 4 Steps

I have seen these mud flap girls all over the place and really wanted to make my own. Now that I am a TechShop member it was the first thing I wanted to do. I took the laser cutter / engraver class last night and with a little help from another guy who was working on a project I was able to make a mud flap girl.

Step 1:

Step one; do your best artist rendition of a mud flap girl.

Step 2:

Step 2 is to set the height of the deck in the machine then then let it go and cut her out.

Step 3:

Sadly; the laser does not cut through metal.... Me and at least one other person in the class thought it did.... Anyway; it is made out of press board... I am still proud of it; but need to take the water jet class to actually make one I can put on my mud flaps.
