Introduction: How to Make a Nut Driver (TECH SHOP)

Here is a commercial manufactured nut driver, but sometimes you are in a pinch and do not want to spend the money on new tool and may have old broken tools lying around which can be retooled in to something useful. 

Step 1: Find an Old Screwdriver That Has Outlived It Usefulness

Truthfully, I did not have an old screwdriver available, so I bought a cheap one at the dollar store.

Step 2: An Old Socket

Here is my socket

Step 3: Welding Screwdriver to Socket

Here we are TIG welding the screwdriver to the socket. TIG is stronger than MIG in this application because of the torque that will be used on the screwing action.

Step 4: Finished Product

This is the new nut driver
