This fork is an excellent camping accessory that you can make yourself with nothing more than a stick and a knife. It's great for bonfires and customizable.

Step 1: What You Will Need

- A stick (should be about 3/4 inch wide and can be as long as you want)

- Swiss army knife or other whittling tool

- Sandpaper (optional. I used some)

Step 2: Mark the Handle With a V-groove

Choose how long to make the handle based on what is comfortable for you. Make a V-shaped groove that marks where your handle ends and the shaft begins. I made my handle slightly longer than what I could grip and it happened to be around the middle of the stick.

Step 3: Flatten the Shaft Part of the Fork

Trim down the 'top' and 'bottom' so that the shaft is flattened slightly. Do this by holding the handle and carving away from yourself.

Step 4: Curve the Sides of the Shaft

Cut down the sides and curve them slightly. It helps to leave the end intact so that you know you aren't cutting into the whole stick and only the middle part of the shaft.

Step 5: Sharpen the Tip

sharpen the tip so that it is shaped like a flat-head screwdriver. Make sure you cut down the top and bottom, and not the sides.

Step 6: Make the Prongs

Make the prongs by planning your cuts and then going all the way through with your blade. You can have three prongs if you want, but I prefer only two.

Step 7: Sanding and Detailing

Detail your fork. Just make V-grooves and continue shaping the fork. Once the detailing is done, you can sand, if you like the 'rough' look, don't sand.

Step 8: Roast Some Marshmallows!

Your fork is now finished. You can use it to roast different things like marshmallows and hotdogs. Carve the fork to fit your need, for example longer prongs for things that may slip off of smaller prongs.
