When painting ikea veneer furniture such as the Malm series, prep is everything.

1. Sand with 100 grit (wear a mask)

2. Apply 3 coats of primer with a small roller.

3. Apply 2 coats of paint with a roller.

4. Drill and install drawer pulls if required.
