Installing a Nerf Gun Barrel

This instructable is part two of: Making a Nerf Gun Barrel. Please view that before you view this instruct.

Now that you've made a barrel, let's install it!

*NOTE*
I know that this mod will work for the Nerf Secret Strike and several others, but PLEASE research your gun to see for sure if this will work.

Step 1: GO! GO! GO!(Lets Do It)

This instructable is based on the Nerf Secret Strike, which is what I am installing my barrel on. However, this barrel is able to be installed on a few other Nerf guns that take micro darts as well. Anyways, remove the casing with a screw driver. Next take out the air-restrictor. The air-restrictor is the thing inside the center of the barrel, that looks like a stick-like thing.

Now, take a saw (any saw should do, but some are better than others). Then, saw off the tube, but be sure to stay away from air tank. NOTE- I appoligize but I have not yet taken apart any guns that use springs. I would imagine that you cut where the barrel seems to end, but don't take my word for it.

Step 2: Get 'R Done!

Now comes the hot glue. Grab your barrel and gun and hot glue the barrel to where the old barrel was. Be careful to glue it centered and not to get any hot glue on the inside(of the barrel). You may want to put your gun in a vice to steady your gluing. The whole point of the HI-LITER is to reduce any possible chances of leakage.(And I think it looks cooler)


By the way, I've got over 50 brand new homemade darts to sell. They are all tipped and completed and selling for VERY CHEAP. Either keep them or sell them on ebay for a higher price.
