People who do a lot of camping are used to Energy Bars and co for their food, I´d like to share this with a view to Emergency preperation

Supplies

1 cup of Date Syrup *

1 cup molasses * * you could use 2 cups of maple syrup instead

3 Tablespoon Olive oil

4 Tablespoons of raw Honey

2 Table spoons Peanut Butter

3 cups Oatmeal

1 cup Frosties

1 cup Protein powder

1/2 cup almond powder or 1 cup almonds

1 cup Raisons or sultaner

Tools

Baking tray preferably higher (2in)

or Silicon Forms

2 spatulars

cooking pot

Vacume Sealer thingy

Marker pen

Step 1: Cook Liquids

Add your syrups and oil in a pot and heat till simmers then stir in your Peanut Butter till all melts, careful

can get very hot, so don´t get it on your skin!

Step 2: Mix Your Dry Stuff

Add the rest of your stuff and mix well to a dish or two

Step 3: Mix It All Up

Now take your Syrups in the pot and pour into the dry stuff and mix well. In the photo you see only one dish but you can do one if large/high but otherwise consider splitting into two loads and two dishes

Step 4: Fill Your Forms

If you use a deep baking tray spread it all in a press a bit down, if you use silicon Forms using two Spatulars helps to

get them in without it being too messy. I had a form for Muffins and two for ceareal bars.

Step 5: Turn Up the Heat!

Warm up your Oven to 190°c or 375°F then put in your Filled Forms for about 20 minutes

Step 6: Seal Em In

I am not sure on how long the shelflife would be but by Vacume Sealing them you should get some months out of them

Step 7: Date Them

Because I don´t know how long the shelf life is I don´t guess so I use a marker and put the production

Date on them, so when I have them I can look and say ok these seem good its been x- Months since I made them

Step 8: Note

I got 12 Round ones and 16 Bars, I know there are less in the pictures but they smellt so good and well you can

guess I had to try some. A friend tried them and said great but Frosties in them? Well if you feel that is too un-healthy

you could replace with something else, perhaps Maltodextrin which seems to be in alot of fittness stuff. In this version a bar or round is about 600 calories. And they taste great ENJOY
