This is one of the simplest, fastest and most amazing tricks you'll ever learn. Everyone will be baffled at it and the preparation only takes a few seconds, one minute tops. You can do it anywhere, you just need 2 pens, that's it.

Let's get going my young padawans.

Step 1: Materials

Like I said before, you only need 2 pens.

The pens have to let you get their ink cartridge out (the little tube with the tip of the pen attached to it). The BIC type pens are the easier ones, but any pen should work. (You only need to get the cartridge out of one pen, the other one doesn't matter)

You need one more thing too, one hair. You have this readily available whenever you want and in large cuantities so there's no point in even mentioning it. The longer the better but any length should work. (Sorry bald people.)

Step 2: Preparation

Ok so you have everything ready, let's prepare the trick.

   - Remove the ink cartridge of just one pen.
   - Insert the hair in the empty pen, but in a way that you have a little piece of circle hanging out. That's the two ends of the hair inside the pen.
   - Insert the ink cartridge in the pen-hair combo, carefully so the hair doesn't get out or get too much in.
   - Insert the other pen (the tip) in the "hook" or half circle you made with the hair in the other pen.

And you're done. Remember, we need the hair to only hang out a little bit, forming something like a half circle, a hook.

Step 3: Let It Fly Baby!

Spin the pen that has the hair in it with your hand, and watch how you begin to levitate!!

Well, you won't levitate, but the other pen should, at lest should "appear" to levitate. You can even spin them slowly, the hair is so small that it won't show.

You can make up some strange and otherworldy expalantions as to how it works. I once said to my classmates that the pens where "magnetized" and that they needed to rub each pen's tips to magnetize them and then they would stick together.

Some time after that, and you could hear from across the hallway all the pens of my entire class rubbing each other. I laughed, and laughed, and laughed.
