Introduction: Make a Bracelet Out of Hair Ties

About: I realized that I'm kinda weird in a really fantabulous way.
Do you have a bunch of old hair ties laying around? Or just want to put more than two together but don't know how?
This instructable will tell you how!

You will need:
  • About 7 hair ties, you can use however many you want or need though, mine are all the same kind but you can use a variety of different ones
  • 1 broken hair tie, if you don't have one you can just cut one
  • Scissors, to cut a tie if you don't have a broken one, and if the ends are frayed

Step 1: Step 1

Pinch the middle of a tie, then lift the ends up a little. The pictures show how to do it.

Step 2: Step 2

Take another tie and pinch the middle. Push one end through both ends of the first one (they look like little loops), and pull it through the first one. Pull the ends up again and stretch it a little. Check the picture to see if you have it right. If you are having trouble holding onto it put a pencil through the first tie's loops.

Step 3: Step 3

Continue doing this until the bracelet is big enough to fit around your wrist. You want it to be big enough so that the constant stretching when you are wearing it wont cause it to break.

Step 4: Step 4

Now take the broken tie or one that you don't care about anymore and cut it near the metal part (if there is one). Trim the frayed ends if any.

Step 5: Step 5

Now take one end of the cut one and push it through all loops (2 on each end) and double knot it. If you don't double knot it it will probably fall apart when you go to put it on.

Step 6: Step 6

Now trim the ends and go show off your sh-mazing  bracelet!!!
