A container for putting stuff in for many everyday uses made out of a plastic bottle. Please try to mainly read the instructions, not the pictures. I messed up alot in the pictures, even though this was my third one that I made. Warning- this does not give you the ability to fly

Step 1: Materials and Tools

Materials
1- A plastic soda bottle or water bottle, varying in size depending on what you want to put in it.
2- Sheet metal or a tin can (Sheet metal is better)
3- Stuff to stow

Tools
1-A hot glue gun or another method of attaching metal to plastic
2- A sharp Xacto knife, zip knife, or box cutter
3- a Sharpie
4- Tin or aviation snips

Step 2: De-labeling

Run the label under hot water, then remove it.

I forgot to take a picture of me eating the yummy almond. I ate entire box of them while making this instructable.

Step 3: Cutting the Bottle

Take the Sharpie and trace out 1/4 of the bottle from the bottom of the cone (the tapered part at top) to a little bit above the bottom. If your bottle gets really tapered near the bottom, trace it it where the flat part in the middle ends. Then cut along three of the lines, leaving one of the lines that run vertical when the bottle is standing up uncut, making a flap-door thing.

Step 4: Folding the Flap-Door Thing

1. Take the newly created flap-door thing and bend it back outside the bottle, then crease it so that it will stand perpendicular from the body of the bottle.
2. Fold the flap in half away from the hole so that when free it will form a right angle.
3. Fold the end half of the flap in half so that it will stand at a right angle
4. Make sure that the new hook will fit on the surface it is intended for. Push down on the bottle to see how secure it is.

Step 5: Peeling the Can

If you haven't already, turn on the hot glue gun If you are using one. If you have sheet metal, skip this step. If you don't, but have an empty tin can, read on.

1. Take the flap-hook, and stretch it out onto the tin can. See how much tin you need.
2. Make the first cut. Make it next to the seam on the tin can.
3. Make the second cut. Make sure the seam is not between the two cuts.
4. Grab the top of the can between the cuts, and pull outwards and down to peel the section.
5. Cut at the bottom of the peeled section.

Step 6: Folding the Metal

If you have sheet metal, stretch out the flap and trace it onto your sheet metal. Then cut along the lines on your sheet metal.

Now we need to fold the metal so it fits around the hook. Bend the metal into a 'C' shape that will snugly fit around the hook. I'm sure that all of you have tools to do this job, but I didn't, so I bent it around a dowel.

Step 7: Reenforcing the Hook

Take the hot glue gun and put glue all over the inside of the C made of metal, and press it around the outside of the hook. In other words, attach the the C around the top of the outside of the hook.

Step 8: Finishing Up

This is an incomplete list of the many uses of the PET Bottle Stowaway

-Drill Holes in the bottom, Its a shower caddy thing!
-Drill Holes in the bottom, fill it with soil and gravel, and hang it outside, and it's a garden!
-Glue magnets on It and It's a locker organizer!
-Hang it on your bed and there's a bedside table!
