Introduction: PULLEY PLANTER

This is my vintage pulley planter that is very cheap and easy to make.  I found the pulley at a yard sale. I purchased a couple feet of rope and a plant at a local store.

Step 1: WHAT YOU NEED

What you need is an old wooden pulley, which can be found at many yard sales, a couple feet of rope and a plant with a hanger.

Step 2: FOLD ROPE AND PULL THROUGH PULLEY

I folded the rope in half to make the rope thicker to fill in the metal wheel on the pulley and tied a knot to keep it in the wheel. This is just for a nicer look.

Step 3: WRAPPING THE HANGER

For this step take another piece of rope and seperate the strands. Then take one strand and tie it to one of the arms from the hanger.
Then just start winding all the way  up the arm and tie a knot at the end. You may need several strands to cover the arm.  Do this for all three arms.

Step 4: THAT'S IT!

After the arms are all wrapped. Attach the hanger back to the planter and hang on the pulley.
