Introduction: Pi Digit Pie Day Apple Pie

Pi Digit Pie Day Apple Pie

This Pi Day recipe uses small number cookie cutters to cut the first 13 digits of Pi from apple slices. The directions also include the terms DIAMETER, CIRCUMFERENCE, AND 360 DEGREES.   In addition, the digits of Pi are cut out of the top crust in order to allow for the pie filling to vent.  Although your mom probably told you to not play with your food, feel free to play with this pie and explore for the various digits while you enjoy your pie.

Equipment:
1 set of number cookie cutters, 1 Pi cookie cutter, apple peeler, cutting board, large bowl, large spoon, 9 inch pie pan, rolling pin, small knife, small brush
