Pressure Activated Spring Snare Trap

A how to on the creation of a pressure activated spring snare for survival or pest animal control.

This snare was constructed to capture feral cats that had been raiding and killing chickens on a farm. When the cats would not take the bait from a bait rod it was modified to fire from foot pressure which resulted in two successful captures.

A deliberate weak spring was used to capture the cats unharmed, however in a survival situation it would be desirable to lift it off the ground.
