Introduction: Rainbow Loom Hairbow
Heyo! This is my instructable on a rainbow loom hairbow! This is once again my original design, I hope you enjoy it!
Materials:
- Loom (set in the parallel position)
- Hook
- 55 A bands
- 9 B bands
- A hairtie (I usually call it a ponytail holder)
- Scissors
When you have your supplies, move onto step 1!
Step 1: Placing First Half
First, you need your loom set in the parallel position. Place DOUBLE BANDS until four pegs have bands on all rows. Now close in. (using double bands)
Step 2: Placing Middle
For the middle, you need 2 A bands and 1 B band. Wrap your B band around your hook four times. Take your A bands and slide your B band on them. Place it on the middle on the rows where your middle bands are.
Step 3: Placing Second Half
Repeat what you did in step 1, just in the opposite direction. I forgot to take a picture of it. Sorry!
Step 4: Placing Connector Bands
Place bands (one at a time) across all rows. You will cover four rows of pegs on each side. Don't leave a space at the end of the first side!
Step 5: Hooking
You're going to hook almost like a Triple Single. Hook the first bands on the inside of the connector band. Hook the second bands on the OUTSIDE. Hook the third bands on the inside. Continue hooking all of 'em on the INSIDE. Sorry the 7th pic is blurry.
Step 6: Slip Knot
To make your slip knots, you will slide your hook under the bands, place a band on the hook, slide that band through, pull the bottom loop up on your hook, and take the right band on your hook, pull it over, and tighten. Repeat on the other posts.
Step 7: But Wait, There's More!!!!!
To start, we cut those loops off the end. Then we slip knot two bands through the bottom middle bands. Take the hair tie, take the band, loop it over and pull it through the other side. This is basically a slip knot around the hair tie. Repeat with the other band.
Step 8: You're Done
You're done! I hope you enjoy it! I also think it would be cool if you added a bow to a bracelet or something. If you came up with ideas, I'd love to see them! Bye!
