Introduction: Skin Nourishing Mask

I maybe showing my age but remember when Popeye would get super human strength when he would get spinach in his system? The arm would get bigger, stronger and he would beat Bluto like he stole something (because he probably did)? Well, I think Popeye wasn't the only one using spinach I am sure Olive Oyl was keeping a can of spinach for herself and was making a spinach mask. I never saw a blemish on her skin and she always had Popeye smitten.

Yeah Olive Oyl was using spinach

Spinach and other green leafy vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals which help to reproduce our new skin cells and remove the damaged or old cells. Spinach is rich in vitamin K, C and A. It is also a great antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties which is great for a facial mask.

Honey is an antioxidant proven to help reduce impurities from the skin and help battle mild acne. It also helps restore skin texture due to it's anti microbial properties, and will help repair skin damage from the sun and daily environment.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is very rich in vitamins, minerals and natural fatty acids. EVOO is rich on antioxidants and helps in the prevention of premature aging. EVOO will nourish, rejuvenate and protect the skin.

Ingredients

Fistful of organic finely chopped spinach
2 teaspoons of organic honey
3 tablespoons of EVOO
Blender

Step 1: Spinach, Honey and EVOO ... the Ultimate Trio

You can easily find organic finely chopped and frozen spinach or fresh spinach.
Take 3 teaspoons of organic honey and 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. And put in bowl with spinach.

Step 2: Blend It..... I Think Popeye Would Be the Spinach Smoothie King

Pour all of the contents in the blender and blend until it is a light pretty green. If you do not like the consistency you can always add more EVOO. But don't go overboard

Step 3: Green Is Beautiful

It should be a soft texture but a little firm. When you put the mask on it will not drip off your face.

Step 4: Green Mask.... Super Hero Status

Slather the mask on your face and keep it on for 20-30 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and make sure you wash around your hairline. There maybe a little green mask left. Your skin will be soft and nourished. I would recommend doing this mask 3 times a week.
